My brain insists there's a word for it, possibly even in English. I hate my brain.

I need a word similiar to nemesis that refers to a place. A place where you would never willingly go. Something like 'hell", but more greek/latin-y (-ish?).

As in how a romance poet writing about a dog would refer to the vet's office.

I'm thinking in the vein of Norse kennings also, like "Martha's-bane", if I was talking about Big Lots.

Any ideas?
