Daily Doggerel (they happen whether you see them or not)

Padgett Station

The bridal party at the next table
cackles, selfconscious in thier joy
or desperation, doting on the waiter
who might be French or Puerto Rican.

Meanwhile, my fiancée reads French
sotto voce
while I write this poem.
