Dear President-Elect Obama,

I'd like to propose a Constitutional Amendment limiting "The Christmas Season" to the period starting on Black Friday (the day after Thanksgiving) and ending on New Year's Day.

Playing of Christmas songs, Christmas Merchandising, Home Holiday Decorations, and the Expression of Season's Greetings outside of this period would be punishable by fine.

Personally, I would have liked to limit this to the Advent season, but I realize that Black Friday retailing would be very difficult to overcome.

Let's call it "Protecting Christmas".
