komejo, of Feral Chicken fame.I'm underemployed. Mostly due to my eclectic skill set. Usually I don't mind, but MONEY is becoming a serious problem.
Our waterbed is leaking. I can't afford a new mattress. I don't even want to apply for credit because we are in the process of getting a 203k mortgage to purchase and renovate our home. My credit rating is good, but there are other issues that make me leery of adding to my credit/debt ratio right now.
Also, we are getting married in June. A destination/theme wedding which is costing way more that we should probably spend. It's going to be amazing.
I want to go back to school, but I don't see any way of making that happen this year. Again, money; I have already been accepted.
I have webcomic related plans. I need to get things printed. I need to have something to sell when I go to Cons. But that takes upfront money, which we don't have. I'm not even sure that I'll be able to attend MomoCon this year, as I can't afford the trip to Atlanta.
So, in a fit of desperation I've been emailing my resumé hither and yon. I don't have experience in the type of work I want to do, I don't have the credentials for the level of work I'm capable of, I can't PROVE myself in advance. And I can't afford to work retail/food services/other soul-crushing jobs.
I just want to be able to support myself and Jess in a house with no holes, a bed that isn't damp, no more 12+ hour days.
I want to write.
But I also want to eat.

If anyone knows of a local (North Carolina) or telecommuting job for a literate project coordinator with multiple language, multiple media experience, who is also a photographer and a former mime, let me know.
