As part of my continuing bedridden routine, I popped in another $1 DVD, The Phantom Creeps with Bela Lugosi.
What I didn’t realize was that this is a serial story and the dvd is 4 hours long. A giant robot with the head of an east asian demon idol, exploding mechanical spiders and more sinister technology from 1939! I’d buy that for a dollar (and I guess I did). It’s paired with The Devil Bat, which features really disturbing scenes of Bela Lugosi leering while electrocuting a giant bat. I swear, there is a serious furry SM fetish appeal here.

In other news, I just had my first cup of coffee since last Tuesday. I think I’m getting better.
