Cthulhuvida, section 3, being chapters 7, 8 and 9

I could use a hand here. I have posted these before, but now I need to make them into a coherent whole and add about 50 words.

If anyone knows Lovecraft or the Eddas, please comment with suggestions. Also, let me know if you see any inconsistencies or typos.

I am moving on to the final chapters, as I need to finish the whole thing by Halloween. I’ll then be formatting it as a chapbook, available on CafePress just in time for the Christmas season.

Ah, those wacky French!

So, I bought a bag of Champion brand Gummi Bear knock-offs. And most of them are fine.

But, some of them, maybe 5%, seem to be mint? Urgh!

Somehow, I don’t think brushing my teeth will help.

What are Cow Magnets?

Cow magnets are popular with dairy farmers and veterinarians to help prevent Hardware Disease (Traumatic Reticuloperitonitis) in their cattle. While grazing, cows eat everything from grass and dirt to nails, staples and bits of bailing wire (referred to as tramp iron).

Tramp iron tends to lodge in the honeycombed walls of the reticulum, threatening the surrounding vital organs and causing irritation and inflammation, known as Hardware Disease. The cow loses her appetite and decreases her milk output (dairy cows), or her ability to gain weight (feeder stock).

Cow magnets help prevent this disease by attracting stray metal from the folds and crevices of the rumen and reticulum.

One magnet works for the life of the cow!
